Terms & Conditions
Shoreditch Recording Works is a trading name of Crimson Noise Limited. These terms apply to all bookings of the studio and its facilities. They are currently being finalised; please check with us at the time of booking for the current version.
1. Bookings
A booking is confirmed once we have agreed the session details with you in writing and received the required deposit. Until both of these are in place, a date is not held and remains available to other clients.
2. Deposits & payment
A deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is payable in full by the date of your session unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept payment by card or bank transfer. Bookings are made with Crimson Noise Limited.
3. Cancellations & changes
If you need to cancel or move your booking, please let us know as early as possible. Deposits may be non-refundable, and cancellations made close to the session date may be charged in full or in part, depending on notice given. We will always try to be reasonable and to re-let the time where we can.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the conduct of everyone you bring to the studio, and for any loss or damage to the studio, its equipment, or the building caused by you or your party. You agree to treat the space and equipment with care and to follow any reasonable instructions from our staff.
5. Your equipment & recordings
Any equipment you bring is at your own risk. You are responsible for backing up your own recordings and data; while we take care, we cannot accept liability for loss of or damage to your material, and you should keep your own copies.
6. Our equipment & the space
We maintain the studio to a high standard. In the unlikely event of an equipment failure or issue that affects your session, we will do our best to resolve it quickly, and where a significant part of your session is lost as a result, we will offer replacement time or a refund of the affected portion. This is the limit of our liability in such cases.
7. Use of the studio
The studio must be used lawfully and with respect for the wider building and its neighbours, including keeping noise to reasonable levels where asked. We reserve the right to end a session where behaviour is unsafe, unlawful, or damaging to the space or others.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or opportunity. Use of the studio is at your own risk.
9. Privacy & filming
We respect the privacy of everyone who works here. Any filming or photography of the wider building beyond your own session should be agreed with us first.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part of them is found not to apply, the rest remain in force. These terms, together with your booking confirmation, form the agreement between us.
